I'm on the hunt for last minute swimwear before I jaunt home. I love Candice Lake's one-piece by the Australian brand Ephemera.
Blue Bottle's NOLA Iced Coffee
I'm addicted to Blue Bottle's New Orleans Iced Coffee. Inside the old school-style carton is their unique blend of chicory-infused coffee with just the right amount of Clover whole milk and cane sugar. Their blend isn't mainstream just yet, as it's only sold in select Whole Foods and independent grocers, but once you try it, you're golden.
Sunday Supper
The best place for a Sunday Supper hands down is Molina in Mill Valley. I've been multiple times, alone in fact, after a trail run on Mt. Tam. It is a true neighborhood establishment as I've met a few "regulars" who also come in for the action at the bar. A seat at the bar is a front row ticket to watch their handsome(!) chefs use their hands in all the right ways to master small plates and supper dishes, whilst keeping the record player going with each night's tailored playlist. (A sample of their playlist is above). C&C recommendations? Any dish with melon - such as their moon & start melon with toy box tomatoes, olive and chili. Another favorite is their country pork chop with yellow peaches, padrón peppers and arugula. The menu is always evolving but do drop in!

Need vs. Want
My Mother always told me that there was a difference between a "need" and a "want" however I think this Riviera Chaise just might constitute as both...
Joie de Vivre!
Above: One of my most favorite photographs of famed photographer François Halard's parents, French decorators Michelle and Yves Halard, at their home in Provence. I love how this photograph truly depicts such joy and ease - two people that clearly have lived their lives to the fullest (with each other!). Their inner souls are outpouring into their external selves, joyful, passionate and pure.
"When the going gets tough...
...The tough get going". That was a phrase my Father would always tell me growing up. It was one of many that he would recite. My sister and I would laugh it off, but as cliche as it is, it is true. In equally characteristic fashion, my parents sent me a letter with this news clipping accompanied by a note encouraging me to press on, despite a few stressful weeks of balancing life. The origin of the phrase has been attributed to John P. Kennedy (JFK's Father), among others. Their letter made me smile, as it reminded me the power of family and friendship in trying times. There are so many beautiful things in life, but every now and then, we get bogged down by less than ideal circumstances. To all my friends facing uncertainties or stressors, press on! You will prevail! (Love you, M&D).

Watermelon Punch
Watermelon & Liquor. A past time for as long as we can all remember, including this party in 1948. I have distinct memories of throwing a "watermelon football" in summer sailing camp - our instructors would fill the watermelon with Crisco which would make it float in the salt water. Later, they'd spike another one with vodka with the understanding that no one would tell their parents about all the fun we had...
