Screen Shot 2015-01-28 at 9.05.36 PMWelcome to my mild obsession with Nathan Coe. Nathan is a photographer hailing from Nantucket, (or better known as ACK to those that frequent the isle). Although he has lived on the island for over 7 years, he spent his formative years studying photography & media in Gloucestershire, England. His work primarily consists of nudes, aerials and fashion editorial, however I'm personally swayed by his talented lens when it comes to the female form. His photography has such a sensual, raw and ethereal quality. You can also find his work in Architectural Digest and Town & Country, among other publications. To view more of his work, visit here and be sure to follow him on Instagram.

SoMA

image2 image1-1I've been eyeing this project on Jack London and Bryant for several months as the space went through a dramatic renovation and is across the street from my office. After bribing the contractors with coffee on my way to the office, they gave me a tour of the space, a spec project in the form of modern commercial space that will be available for lease in just another week or two. This has got Restoration Hardware written all over it - a perfect space for an art gallery, PR agency headquarters or architect's base camp. Prior to the renovation, this space was dilapidated and desperate for attention. I've thoroughly enjoyed working in the SoMA neighborhood of San Francisco and love seeing when projects such as these come to life.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck

Screen Shot 2015-01-25 at 1.50.27 PMAbove is an excerpt from Mark Manson's article on exactly how it reads: 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck.' If you haven't read it, and are comfortable with expletives, then get on board. It's bold, it's provocative and witty, but also insanely relatable. Life is really too short to sweat the small stuff and Mark's article is on point for me especially at this juncture in my life. See the article in full, here. Another read I've found quite relevant especially in the dating world is this one. Some great material to set your Monday Mantra and intentions for the week. Enjoy!

Screen Shot 2015-01-19 at 10.00.41 AMI stopped in my tracks when I saw this portrait of Charlotte Stockdale and Marc Newson on my Instagram feed, as highlighted by WSJ Magazine. Between the photograph of the insanely creative duo and the chic rattan garden furniture, I knew this had to be good material.

Charlotte Stockdale, is just half of the impossibly cool couple - a model and stylist (she consults for Karl Lagerfeld), style editor for Jo Malone London and is the fashion director of art magazine Garage. On her right hand is her Australian hubby, Marc Newson. Heard of a little thing called the Apple Watch? Well, he is the gent behind the product's design, not to mention his design of this sumptuous bottle of Dom, the interior design of Qantas' First Class Lounge in Sydney, this body jet pack and many, many other insanely epic products. They are a force to be known.

In addition to their influential contributions to modern society, they have bestowed us with a glimpse into their custom home sitting pretty in Greece's Ionian islands. Outside of this tech enabled, art saturated revolving reality of theirs, they retreat to a stone abode surrounded by radicchio and okra that grow in concert with blossoming orchards and night-blooming jasmine. It's a paradise I truly lust for. Read and see more, here.

Soak

Screen Shot 2015-01-22 at 8.28.22 AMToday, this is where I'd like to be, in Isaac Mizrahi's bathtub (sans Isaac Mizrahi, of course). His Manhattan home, a historic 1931 building (hence the radiator in the bathroom), was featured in Architectural Digest not too long ago. Although the rest of the home reflects his modern, colorful essence, I love the simplicity of the bathroom, the modern rigid lines and natural light. See more, here.

Black, White & Mario

I was able to see his first US exhibit in 2013 at the MFA and currently, he is about to debut his exhibit in Germany. He truly captures the real essence of any woman - her beauty, vulnerability, complexity and grace. To see Mario in action (in Sicily!) view here.
